Ashley Peterson Hohl is the principal owner and founder of the Law Office of Ashley M. Peterson in San Diego, California. Her practice specializes in real estate transactions including commercial and residential property purchases and sales, for sale by owner transactions, commercial and residential leases, easements, and short-term rental regulations.

Mrs. Peterson is actively involved as an advisory member of the Executive Committee of the Real Property Law Section of the California Lawyers Association, and previously served as a 3 year voting member and secretary of that organization. In her role with the CLA, she created and planned the first Real Property Health & Wellness Retreat in Lake Tahoe in April 2022 which continued into 2023 and 2024. Mrs. Peterson actively served on the Executive Committee of the San Diego County Bar Association’s Real Property Law Section from 2019-2022, as well as vice-chair of the Business and Corporate section where she planned educational seminars and networking events for attorneys. Previously, she served as the 2017 chair of the New Lawyers Division of the San Diego County Bar where she mentored new attorneys in the transition from law school to legal practice.

Mrs. Peterson graduated from the University of California, San Diego with a bachelor’s degree in art history and criticism, and minor in English literature. Following college, she remained in San Diego where she obtained her Juris Doctor degree from California Western School of Law. Attorney Peterson Hohl is admitted to practice before the courts of the State of California.

In her free time, Mrs. Peterson enjoys traveling, yoga, Pilates, walking her dog, and spending time with her husband.  Mrs. Peterson is a current volunteer on the planning committee for the Crohn’s Colitis Foundation. She has previously volunteered her time  in 5th grade classrooms conducting interactive mock trial presentations with the students and has provided pro bono legal services to clients through the California Western School of Law legal clinic.

Mrs. Peterson is honored to have been named as one of the top 50 influential business leaders in San Diego by the Daily Transcript in 2017, as one of the top 100 attorneys in San Diego Business Journal’s “Best of the Bar” in 2017, and a “Rising Star” in Real Estate by Super Lawyers from 2017-2022, and Super Lawyer recipient in 2023 and 2024.
